Look at this Chinese silver and gold coin. On it is a Guanyin Goddess, or Buddha if you will. Guanyin, or Kwan-yin if you prefer, is essentially a Buddha.
Anyway, look at the beauty of the coin. It was said to contain some real gold and silver. It may have a small amount of that kind of plating. It is probably mostly alloy. But to me it does not matter, as I am not a serious coin collector. I just like observing the beauty of it.
